"Daddy!"

Father's Day breakfast. I think I could eat this every day!! 

    

I love seeing Annabelle run out the front door screaming "Daddy!" when he gets home. And then watching her give each of his cheeks a kiss.

He's taught her how to fake snore, and that every one of her owies needs a kiss to feel better. He tickles her back all the time, and by the blank look on her face we know she loves it. :)

And Father's Day weekend she got her own personal ride down the slip 'n slide.

He adores her. And she adores him.

And I feel so blessed to call them my family :)

Bed Head

It's really exciting to me!

She wakes up with those baby strands going every which way, and it reminds me her hair is growing!! 

It's long enough for bed head! That is saying something. :)

While I want her hair to grow grow grow, I wish she would slow down a bit. She's been acting so mature lately. Like I'm not allowed to feed her anymore. Any time I try, she gives me this look like I'm embarrassing her or something. Shouldn't I have another decade and a half before I get that look? And that headband? Yeah, she went to the bathroom, rummaged through our drawers and came to breakfast looking like a diva.

I mean, it matches her outfit & high chair. She obviously knew what she was doing.

I was impressed :)

PS: Backwards pajamas are a no-go.

Found her little bum cheeks in her crib this morning.

Yup.

She's outsmarted us.

Bittersweet

I think she's starting to transition from 2 naps to 1 nap. And sometimes she thinks that can mean no naps. 

Today was one of those days. 

Tried once: failed.

Tried twice: failed.

Well as soon as 6pm rolled around and she'd been fed, I knew she could easily go down for the night. 

And after there was silence for a peaceful 20 minutes, I went and checked on her. 

This is what I found:

It was such a bittersweet moment:

She was asleep. Finally!

But she was asleep 

in her own urine! 

Agh!!!

Lissie, are you ready to be my full-time nanny, specifically specialized in nap time? :)

Really Cute Little Babies

On our walk to feed the ducks, we tried to do a little photoshoot of these girls in their cute swimsuits.

It was really hard.

We basically can't wait til these girls understand the concept of bribery. Cause I will buy buckets of candy just to get some cooperation.

But for now we'll let them be babies. Really cute little babies :)

She's Everything Perfect!

She sits perfectly still when I paint her finger/toenails.

Anytime she sees a picture on the camera, she says: "Aww!"

Her all-time favorite food is Ramen.

She's obsessed with buckling her high chair.

She tears off her diaper just about any time of day. And then pees wherever she is.

Every time I go into her room to see why she's crying, she immediately stops and goes: 

"Shh! Shh!" 

(still trying to figure out what that one means...)

She loves to sing and lead the music in sacrament meeting.

She is 100% in love with her bestie: Gus.

She thinks she's a big kid and insists on sitting in a human chair at the table.

She loves rap and hip hop. Anything with a heavy beat gets her little body movin'.

She tells me she's "all done" eating, and as soon as I go to pick her up, she grabs as many handfuls of food as she can. In case it's her last meal, I guess.

She loves to change her clothes and shoes 10x a day.

Everyday she lifts up my shirt, kisses my belly, and says: "Hi baby!"

Then as she's covering it back up, she says: "Bye bye!"

Whenever she's tired she grabs her blankie and runs to her room yelling: "Nigh-Nigh!"

Randomly throughout the day she'll fold her arms and start saying a prayer.

She knows how to fake snore.

If she sees something she wants she will say: "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah..." until she gets it.

Any type of animal is a puppy and says "woof woof".

Except Turtle - She's finally been introduced to cats.

One of the only times she'll sit still is if you're putting makeup on her. Oh boy, does she think she wears mascara everyday.

She shrieks in disbelief and gives me an "Oh-no-you-di'nt" face every time I take something away from her.

She likes to cuddle in my arms while drinking her milk every morning.

She points to the fireplace if you ask her where Santa lives.

She officially has all her teeth.

She says:"Wo, Two, Freeee" anytime she's about to jump off of something.

(We're really grateful for the warning too!)

To me she's everything perfect, and I'm so grateful she's mine!

Watermelon + Stripes

Well, we're back from vacation.

The "vacation" called moving.

You can see pictures here of the somewhat finished product.

I think everyone got their fill on Easter pictures, yes? ;)

Well the camera's pretty much been collecting dust since then *gasp*.

But hello, moving is the worst thing EVER!

And can I just take a minute and give a blogger shout-out to my mom!

She pretty much packed my whole apartment. Did all the dirty work (like clean the oven and fridge!!) And then moved just about every box over here. And has also(over skype)helped me decorate the place. Holllla.

Best. Mom. Ever.

Now how was your weekend?

We had such beautiful weather here. Which of course called for fresh watermelon, a squirt gun fight, and homemade strawberry milkshakes with our besties :)

What a girl, right? She actually didn't mind being squirt so much. But as soon as anyone started squirting me? Oh, game over.

I've got a pretty protective little babe ;)

I think it's gonna be a pretty great summer :)

And I hope to document the whole thing!

Our Tiny is already 18 months, and I just wish time would stand still! 

She makes us so happy :)
