Funny Faces

My little comedian baby.
Isn't she adorable? Gosh, I'm loving this mommy-job!

Annabelle Shot Day :(:(:(

My poor little girl had her 2 month checkup today. Even though she's now 3 months. And maybe that's why it was such a rough day - these shots were long overdue :(
I hate getting shots. And now I have to let my little baby get shots. But, she is a tough little mamacita! She hardly cried at all. It was only the after effects that really took their toll on her.

Luckily she slept for most the day, but you could see her pain even in her sleep. :(
Meet Annabelle on Shot Day:

While putting her down for one of her naps, she whimpered for nearly 15 minutes straight! I almost filmed it cause it was so cute, but then felt like I shouldn't document her pain (it might cause more)

Well, Shot Day Part II is in 6 weeks! And I'm dreading it :(

Saturday Stuff

I found this cute wreath idea at

You can find hers here:

Since V-day is over, we needed a new wreath for our door and luckily I had all the scraps to make one:

I just used an old white sheet for the wreath and white flowers, and then scraps of old fabric for the other flowers. And lots of hot glue :) Also, if you're near a Hobby Lobby - their straw wreaths are 50% off! (And if you miss that sale, they're only $3.75 regularly)

This little project has kept me pretty occupied today, since Jake's in Denver with the car and little Annabelle still sleeps quite a bit! So to be honest, I was in craft-heaven!
I also made some cute bathroom blocks, but they're above my toilet and I felt kinda silly posting a picture of our toilet. I mean, really.

If anyone's interested in making a burlap wreath, I'll post that tutorial soon :)
Here's a peek at the final product:

Annabelle Update!

She's getting too big too fast, and this weekend has definitely made me realize that even more: My sweet sister-in-law Ashley gave birth to beautiful baby Madison.

And now my tiny Annabelle isn't so tiny anymore :( ... (and I secretly want another newborn!!)

Matching cousin outfits (with many more to come!!) :)

Teeny tiny beautiful 8lbs 9oz Maddy:

Jake and Danny with their cute little girls:

Now when I see Annabelle next to Madison, I feel like she should be walking. And talking. And feeding herself. I can't even remember her being that tiny!

Sweet girl Annabelle -- Please stay my tiny forever! And please please please keep making this face when you stretch!!

Happy Belated

We had a great V-day this year:

A yummy breakfast.

Some cutesy pictures. (Annabelle's sporting her V-day dress!)

And a lovely evening. But sadly no pictures. :(

But this is what we did:
I decorated the house with a pretty red Valentine garland. We drank Martinelli's. Ate yummy enchiladas. And gave each other a nice card and gift (sewing machine for me!!!) Oh gosh, I have to post about my newest creation with it. You know what? I'm doing it now. One sec!

I absolutely love this machine, but even more so my sweet husband who got it for me :)

So this past week I decided to recover the glider in our living room and was super impressed with how well I did :) I just took off the old cushion fabric and used it as a pattern -- I looove how it turned out! It really brightens up our living area.
I love love love you Jacob, for this wonderful machine!

Anyways, back to the V-day. Jake's been pretty obsessed with BYU basketball lately (JIMMMMMMER!), so I got him some cute BYU sweats. (He wears them everyday now) ;)

Valentine's Day was really fun and since it's topic-appropriate, I'd like to list why I love my husband:

1. He makes me laugh every day!
2. He takes such good care of Annabelle and I - we are definitely his #1!
3. How much he loves me - I am a lucky girl!
4. The fact that he lets me tear apart our house, just to hang my latest blog-stalked project on the wall (our living room is still under construction!)
5. When he tells me what I've just made is really cute and he loves it, and then when I decide I hate it he quietly lets out a sigh of relief ;) (I made a really hideous zebra frame the other day) Haha!
6. When he whoos me with his flawless German.
7. The time he dropped everything (when I was pregnant) to go get me some raspberry jam. Which I never ended up eating. :)
8. That he loves my flax/fat-free banana bread, even though the buttery one tastes better.
9. That he will always and forever prefer a pony-tail over curls. (Which is great - cause I've never been one for doing my hair!)
10. His faith and testimony of the gospel. He is such an example to me.

I love you sweet Jacob!

Best Friends!

Most definitely, my sisters :)

But also, my husband!

(adorable, right?)

I love you all! :)

Day 12: A photo of You.

Well, since you've already had a day of ME, I'm changing today's subject to ..... ANNABELLE!
(I'm just having a lot of fun with this camera, and getting used to the different settings, so I wanna share)

These are just a couple snaps from today. I'm not sure if it's too much stimulation, but she's definitely stimulated - Annabelle loooves watching anything on the TV.
So far, she mainly watches sports, and just might be a future football star!
(This last picture is her "TV Face".) It's kind of been a nice discovery, cause it keeps her happy while I'm making dinner and such.
(Does that make me a bad mom?)

Day 12: A photo of your Annabelle.

Saturday, February 12, 2011

I'm taking up photography (kinda) so I messed around with our camera today, and well, don't tell Jake cause these are his Valentine's from Annabelle :)

What do you think? I really can't go wrong with this camera, and the beautiful subject, but it is definitely tricky! I've gotten some great pointers from Marie, and here are a couple shots after Photoshop.

I'm a little obsessed with B&W. Maybe I'll post the color ones too - I just can't decide.

Our Love Fern - You Let It Die!

Day 11: A Photo of your Favorite Film.

I could watch this movie over, and over, and over again, and still laugh through the whole thing :) I think that qualifies as being my favorite movie:

How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days. Kate Hudson. Matthew McConaughey. Love love love.

Then and Now

Day 10: A photo of you as a Baby:

The newborn hamster look:

12 months/18 months?:

OK, now I'm pretty adorable!!

Jake 6 weeks:

Annabelle Then:

My teeny newborn.

And Now:

If You Were an Ice Cream Flavor - You would be my Favorite One!

Mindy Gledhill. She's amazing and BY far my favorite artist! Her music is beautiful, unique, and so relaxing! Her voice is angelic and her lyrics are mighty clever.
I don't think I have a favorite song, but here's one that I love: All About Your Heart.
(I don't know how to upload videos, so just youtube it!)

Day 8: A photo of your favorite musician.

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

I love this girl!

Day 7: A photo of someone I love.

She's the winner!!
It's amazing how you can love someone more and more every day!

I love her.

Spider Smile

Hands down, Bella wins! Isn't she adorable?!
This was taken on my trip to Seattle in October (while Jake was in Israel for 10 days!) Isabella's signature "spider smile". Not sure where she learned it, or even why she's thinking about how spider's smile, but so the world knows: THIS is how they do it. :D

She's my beautiful Isabella Marie! My little "Monkey Madness".

Day 6: A photo that makes me laugh.
